Help us make the 2027 Gipson-Gibson Family Reunion an unforgettable experience by supporting our Little Caesars Pizza Kit & Meal Deal Fundraiser! Every purchase helps us raise funds to offset reunion expenses and keep costs affordable for our family. Proceeds will help support transportation, entertainment, décor, hospitality, and other special touches that will make our Detroit weekend memorable for every generation.
Our goal is to raise $1,500–$2,000 through this campaign, and every order gets us closer. Share the fundraiser with friends, neighbors, coworkers, and extended family and help your branch do its part! Fundraiser takes place from September 1 to September 15, 2026.

The plan is officially set for the 2027 Gipson-Gibson Family Reunion, and this year we're celebrating Detroit Gip/bson-ish style!
Our theme is a playful nod to the television sitcom Black-ish, exploring the experiences, personalities, traditions, and perspectives of a multigenerational family. In much the same way, the Gipson-Gibson family has grown and branched out across generations, cities, and states. We may have different experiences, different last names, and different stories—but we all trace back to the same family tree. Different Branches. Same Roots. One Family captures what this reunion is all about: honoring where we come from, celebrating who we've become, and strengthening the connections that will carry our family legacy forward.
As we prepare to welcome generations of our family to Detroit, there are two important ways to help us get ready: chapter working capital provides the early resources needed to secure our reunion plans, and family registration reserves your place for an unforgettable weekend together.
EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION (REGISTER BY MARCH 1, 2027)
Adult Registration (Ages 13-89) is $175 per person.
Children's Registration (Ages 4-12) is $135 per person
Ages 0-4 and ages 90+ are FREE!
(Registration increases by $25 each level after March 1st.)
Registration includes our Friday Pizza Party, Showcase, and Family Feud experience Night (Includes dinner), a Saturday morning admission to the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, a ticket to board the Detroit Princess Riverboat for our Saturday Evening Celebration (includes dinner), and a Sunday Morning continental breakfast & worship service.
Want to make registration easier on your budget? Break it into payments! Feel free to pay $25 per month toward your registration balance, as long as your registration is paid in full by March 1st.

As we celebrate the branches of the Gipson-Gibson family tree, the museum gives us an opportunity to reflect on the broader history that shaped the lives of our ancestors and continues to influence the generations that follow. It's a chance for our elders, adults, young people, and children to experience history together—sharing stories, asking questions, and making connections between where we've been and who we are today.

Saturday evening will bring the family together for one of the signature experiences of our reunion weekend—a Detroit Princess Riverboat Cruise along the beautiful Detroit River. With the city skyline as our backdrop, we'll enjoy an evening of great food, live entertainment, dancing, and unforgettable views of Detroit from the water.
